Getting started

Location, scheduling, and first steps

Where is Epp Counseling located?

Epp Counseling is located in the Premier Executive Center at 5237 Summerlin Commons Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can request an appointment by using the contact form on this website. You may also call or text 239-933-7400. Existing clients may request appointments through the Therapy Portal.

What happens in the first appointment?

The first appointment focuses on understanding what brought you to counseling, what has been affecting your life, what you have already tried, and what you want to see change. Your counselor will also discuss treatment options and therapeutic approaches that may fit your needs and goals.

How often will I meet with Rachele and how long does counseling usually last?

Frequency is based on your needs, goals, and availability. Many clients begin with regular sessions so there is enough consistency to build momentum, then adjust as progress develops. The length of counseling depends on the person, the issues involved, and the depth of the patterns being addressed. Some clients make progress in a shorter period of time, while others need longer work for more complex or long-standing concerns.

Fees & payment

Cost, insurance, payment, and cancellations

How much do you charge?

The fee for individual therapy is $175 for a 50-minute session.

Do you take insurance?

No. Epp Counseling does not accept insurance. Clients pay directly for services. A superbill can be provided upon request, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your policy.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Epp Counseling accepts major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, checks, and cash. The first payment is due at scheduling. Future payments are due at the time of your session. If you plan to use an FSA account, please verify coverage with your provider, since some plans may exclude mental health therapy.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please text 239-933-7400 or submit a request through the portal. At least 48 hours’ notice is required to avoid a session charge. If something urgent comes up, please make contact as soon as possible.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the No Surprises Act, clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of non-emergency health care services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may dispute the bill. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Care & safety

Crisis support, confidentiality, and telehealth

What should I do if I am in crisis?

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Yes. Epp Counseling offers telehealth sessions for clients located throughout Florida. This can be a practical option for those with busy schedules, transportation limitations, or difficulty getting to the office. In-person sessions also remain available at the Fort Myers location.

Is counseling confidential?

Services & fit

Counseling Approach and Client Focus

What if I have already tried counseling before?

Many clients come to counseling after previous attempts did not produce the change they hoped for. Rachele’s approach looks carefully at the underlying patterns, not just the symptoms or the immediate crisis, with the goal of supporting lasting change over time.

Do you offer Christian counseling?

Yes. Christian counseling is available for clients who want their faith included in the work. Biblical truth can be integrated carefully and appropriately while still using a structured, clinically grounded counseling process.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with Rachele?

No. Clients from all backgrounds are welcome. Christian counseling is available for those who request it.

Do you work with couples or families?

Epp Counseling primarily provides individual therapy. If you need couples or family therapy, Rachele can provide referrals to trusted professionals when appropriate.
